About the team

 

In partnership with Ocado we are in the process of delivering a brand new state-of-the-art customer fulfilment centre in NSW. Harnessing the latest technology this site will offer a wider range to our customers and safer, cleaner environment for our staff. As this site ramps up we have an opportunity for experienced Team Managers to join the team. 

 

About the role

 

Responsible for managing a functional team within the Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC), for a specific operational area. Support your team in achieving Coles eCommerce KPIs for safety, customer experience, cost, fulfilment and delivery. Drive compliance to operational DILOs, processes and safe working practice. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless end to end operations. 

 

  • Manage day to day operations within the facility, providing operational leadership, direction and support to a high performance team
  • Motivate, encourage and develop your team
  • Support the execution of the strategy implementation plan, to achieve the organisation's strategic objectives
  • Support the implementation of change initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure that resourcing and productivity within your team is sufficient to meet sales demand, and escalate any anticipated issues
  • Drive a highly customer-focused culture with a focus on customer receiving the 'perfect order' every time 
  • Be a champion for safety and lead an operational safety-first culture
  • Find ways to support continuous improvement initiatives of the site providing insight to key stakeholders

 

About you and your skills

 

We’re looking for passionate Team Managers that have a customer first focus, continuous improvement mindset You’ll also need:

 

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and supervising large teams in a fast-paced, complex workplace combining automated plant operations with labour intensive and manual workstreams. 
  • High School Diploma (e.g. HSC/VCE), or equivalent
  • Proven people leadership capabilities
  • Proven ability to develop and coach people to meet both their career goals and the organisation’s goals
  • Ability to influence & communicate with site leaders
  • Ability to utilise operational metrics to drive performance improvements & outcomes.
  • Experience in creating new and better ways for the organisation to be successful
  • Experience in developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organisation’s goals
  • Experience in manoeuvring comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organisational dynamics
  • Ability to provide direction, delegating, and removing obstacles to get work done 
  • Experience working across multiple functional areas of a Store, DC or CFC
