About the role 

 

In partnership with Ocado we have recently launched a brand-new state-of-the-art Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) here in NSW.

 

The new CFC will redefine the customer experience in online grocery shopping, providing customers with improved availability and freshness, a broader produce range and a seamless digital experience, while also providing a safer working environment for our team members. As this site ramps up, we have an opportunity for an experienced Workforce Planning Manager to join the team.

 

Reporting to the Head of CFC Operations you will lead, manage, and strategically own the development and delivery of resource planning processes across the CFC and our Home Delivery Hub facility. You will also:

  • Lead resource planning processes for the new site, collaborating with central leadership and onsite teams to deliver effective process.
  • Manage 3PL relationships to ensure resource needs are met and to ensure ongoing service delivery.
  • Maintain the resource planning system as a business super user. Ensure that the system accurately reflects all labour tasks and rates to meet business requirements. Plan and manage a rigorous process for budget & quarterly changes to system. 
  • Effectively lead a highly motivated and engaged team based onsite.
  • Drive a customer focused culture across all departments of the operation ensuring Coles Online customers receive ‘the perfect order’ each time. 
  • Be a champion for safety and lead an operational safety-first culture.

About you and your skills

 

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience working in a large operation with large workforces.
  • Experience in implementing “Bespoke” Rostering Management Systems that compliment team and business needs, and the ability to manage complex/ individualised team rosters that are critical for a flexible and engaged workforce.
  • Proven commercial acumen.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and effectively analyse, interpret, and communicate to a diverse range of stakeholders. 
  • Strong communicator with previous experience engaging with and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective people leadership capabilities with the ability to build relationships with individuals at all levels and to lead a team of technical resources and a large volume of cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to identify and drive Continuous Improvement initiatives.
