About the team


We’re launching two automated Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs) in Melbourne and Sydney. The new CFCs will redefine the customer experience in online grocery shopping, providing customers with improved availability and freshness, a broader produce range and a seamless digital experience, while also providing a safer working environment for our team members. As our NSW site ramps up, we have an opportunity for an experienced Planning & Resource Analyst to join the team. 


About the role 
 

Responsible for supporting the Strategic Workforce Planning Manager in analysing the commercial viability of roster builds, and identifying and advising the Resource Planners on areas of opportunities. 

 

Responsible for leading time and motion studies, identifying efficiencies through data analysis, advising the operation on changes required.

 

Assist in resource planning activities necessary for the Customer Fulfilment Centre and/or Spoke to effectively forecast, plan and roster resources to meet safety, budgets and operational requirement through ramp up and ongoing operations. Provide fact-based analysis of resource planning performance, complete demand and recruitment forecasts for each CFC or Spoke business unit/zone, and support governance mechanisms that monitor workforce targets.

 

 You will also:

 

  • Support the execution of the strategy implementation plan, to achieve the CFC’s strategic objectives 
  • Support maintenance of the resource planning system as a business super user to ensure that the system data is accurately reflected
  • Support the CFC & Spoke leadership team in meeting it's customer experience objectives
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management by partnering with key stakeholders 
  • Be the SME in analysing & advising stakeholders on resourcing needs to meet customer experience & performance metrics
  • Support activities to ensure capacity within the CFC & Spoke network's is sufficient to meet sales demand
  • Perform balancing of remuneration books at the end of each period
  • Keep an ongoing focus on continuous improvement
  • Ensure a high degree of integrity around people rostering, to balance individual challenges with business need

 


About you and your skills


We’re looking for an experienced Planning & Resource Analyst with a passion for developing processes. 

 

You will also need: 
  

  • 2+ years of labour scheduling experience
  • VBA experience advantageous 
  • Ability to work with large datasets
  • Strong experience using Excel & PowerBI
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to identify & drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Track record in reporting commercials and scheduling in a fast-moving environment is essential
  • Ability to influence & communicate with site leadership and key stakeholders
  • Experience working with Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA) and awards is advantageous
  • Strong background in operations of a large retail or transport environment
  • Experience working within a team where they consult and communicate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to utilise key financial data & operational metrics to drive performance improvements & outcomes
  • Ability to execute a strategic vision
