Property looks after one of Australia's most dynamic portfolios. Coles Group has over 2,500 retail locations around Australia—and we're growing every day. Our team manages every one of these locations. And we work side-by-side with our business units on all things in the property lifecycle, from site acquisition through to asset management.

 

 


About the role

 

 

We’re seeking a proactive and driven State Development Manager for WA & SA. You'll drive business growth and have the opportunity to make a significant impact. 


Reporting to the National Development Manager and working closely with our leasing and capital transactions teams, you'll join a close-knit dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Offering broad scope and diversity, you'll be given full autonomy and ownership over development projects for regional, rural, and metro WA & SA. 

 

 

 

You'll also:

 

 


•    Provide strategic direction and ensure successful delivery of development projects from site acquisition to completion. 
•    Conduct financial and property analysis of new sites. 
•    Manage external consultants and builders throughout the project lifecycle. 
•    Ensure successful delivery of projects, from acquisition to handover to Coles. 
•    Monitor performance of projects to ensure time cost and quality are managed.

 

 


About you and your skills

 

 

 

With 5 to 10 years of property project delivery experience, you come from a construction/development/ town planning background with exposure to residential, commercial, or retail development projects.  


A strong leader, you can work autonomously and are known for your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

 

 

 

You'll also have: 

 

 

 

•    A proven track record in managing multiple projects simultaneously. 
•    Strong problem-solving skills. 
•    Strategic and lateral thinking skills. 
•    Sound financial acumen and cost plan management skills.
•    Agility, resilience, and the abiity to thrive in a complex environment.
