Property looks after one of Australia’s most dynamic portfolios. With an extensive footprint of over 1,800 retail outlets nationally, we’re growing every day. Our team manages every one of these locations, and we work together with our business units on all thing’s property, from site acquisition through to asset management.

About the role

 

 

As our new Retail Leasing Manager, you will partner with senior stakeholders to deliver property objectives for Coles Supermarkets, with a focus on growing our store network in Queensland.

 


You’ll join a close-knit, high-performing team and deliver a small yet significant number of complex deals and projects each year. This is a hands-on role where you’ll influence outcomes to secure alignment and bring deals to life.

What you’ll do

 

 

• Identify and negotiate new and replacement store opportunities
• Prepare board reports, presentations and approval materials
• Develop property strategies across existing and new markets throughout QLD
• Help deliver new  stores, acquisitions, lease renewals and store extensions
• Partner with internal teams including location planning, finance and operations, aligning differing priorities
• Manage external relationships with landlords and developers to facilitate favourable outcomes.

 

 

About You and Your Skills

 

 

 

You bring 3–5 years of commercial property experience, ideally within the QLD retail or large-scale property/landlord environments.

 


You’re a confident negotiator with a solid understanding of lease structures, known for building strong relationships, influencing stakeholders and navigating competing priorities to deliver outcomes.

 

 

 

You’ll also have

 

 


• Experience in negotiating Letter of Offers, Agreement for Leases, and Leases in a complex environment
• Strong commercial acumen and deal structuring capability
• Proven ability to influence and manage stakeholders
• Strong organisation skills and ability to manage multiple deals
• A pragmatic, resilient approach to challenges
• A collaborative and down-to-earth perspective.
