About the team
 

Our new Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs) are an even smarter and easier way to fulfil online orders and deliver the smiles for our customers. And you could get involved. Your role, no matter where you are at a CFC, will have a direct contribution to every customer's order. How good is that.

About the role

 

You will be responsible as the subject matter expert for providing technical advice and coaching to stakeholders and team members across the OCADO site in relation to transport safety to ensure key objectives are met including van fleet and safe deliveries to our customers.  

 

You will also have: 

 

  • Sound knowledge, skill and experience in health and safety, in particular critical risk reduction both in yard management and on-road, traffic management and transport safety
  • Minimum of 3 years working in an operational FMCG distribution centre, manufacturing or automated environment 
  • Proven record of achieving results and leading change within a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Clear demonstration of ability to incorporate safety requirements while considering commercially viable and practical solutions 
  • Proven capability in developing safety plans & strategies that are aligned to business objectives

 
About you and your skills
 

 

We’re looking for an experienced Transport Safety professional ideally who has experience in a developing environment with the ability to set up process,

 

you will also have:

 

  • A Safety Degree or qualification/related discipline and/or Risk Compliance degree or qualification 
  • Experience managing transport regulatory compliance 
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building capabilities 
  • Exceptional coaching, analytical and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to hold self and others accountable to raise the transport safety standards
  • The ability to build relationships and collaborate with a wide range of team members and senior states leaders 
  • Effective communication and influencing skills, with strong attention to detail 
  • A proven ability with safety reporting and evaluating compliance to transform insights into frontline safety initiatives to address risk
  • Experience conducting driver debriefs for cycles of continuous improvement (optional)
