We hire differently at Coles, in a good way!


At Coles, we use the Expression of Interest as a way of recruiting new Team Members. Candidates simply submit their details to be matched to future jobs in our stores. 

What’s an Expression of Interest?


If we have no specific jobs advertising in the location you are interested in working, you can submit an Expression of Interest, which contains information about you, your job preferences, and your availability. You’ll then be added to our candidate pool, where you’ll be considered for opportunities and contacted if a job you’re matched to becomes available. No more scrolling our Coles Careers website regularly to check for new jobs – we’ll let you know if you match a job near you!


If you are matched to a job you'll be invited to check out the details and confirm you interest and availability for the job - you'll always have the choice to decline.


Improving your "matchability"


Our system matches candidates based on suitability for a specific job. To maximise your chances of being matched, we suggest when completing the Expression of Interest you consider each question carefully and include the broadest preferences based on what is relevant for you.

Finally, while we do use the Expression of Interest for many of our Store Team Member roles, we will still advertise roles that may include remote or hard-to-fill jobs. So, it’s worth taking a look at the Coles Careers website from time-to-time.
