About the role

Bridging the gap between our suppliers, distribution centres and stores, our Supply Chain team works with thousands of trusted businesses every day. We work hard to make life easier, safer and more sustainable across our network, as well as maintain the availability and quality of our products for our customers.

We’re looking for an exceptional Optimisation Manager to join our team.

 

What you’ll be doing
You will be the driving force behind major change initiatives to optimise performance of the site. You will be the champion for Continuous Improvement for processes in a fast paced DC environment.  

Other ways you can make an impact include:

  • Identify, prioritise and lead change initiatives to optimise the efficient operation of the site, optimising travel distance, carton touches and the removing the opportunity for error.
  • Lead the Inventory, Systems and Continuous Improvement streams within the Distribution Centre.
  • Accountable for the activities associated accurately and safely minimising cost of moving product from Inbound through to Outbound
  • Ensure Systems and Inventory integrity
  • Assist National Teams in landing projects and initiatives within the site

 

Good things you’ll need

  • a successful track record in overall business unit management with leadership responsibilities in change management, cultural development and continuous improvement
  • experience in working in a fast paced FMCG environment
  • highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, influence, present to and manage relationships with various levels of management and teams
  • qualifications in Continuous Improvement/Lean/Six Sigma is essential
  • the ability to manage end to end processes within a warehousing environment from receiving to despatch and all parts of logistics
  • exposure to developing reporting matrixes, as well as an awareness in relation to the cost implications of different resource management decisions
