About the role


The P&C Direct team is responsible for the delivery of common, repeatable and transactional P&C activity which has enterprise-wide reach and is aligned to the functional or corporate strategy.  The role is responsible for leading the planning & execution of cyclical P&C activities, as well as managing complex line Manager queries in relation to Policy & Performance.


We are looking for a strong P&C Manager with Generalist experience partnering with the business in a National capacity with leadership responsibilities. 



What you'll be doing


  • Nationwide scope with leadership responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of P&C cyclical activities, including managing timeframes and communications  
  • Provide coaching and guidance to line managers on complex people matters to ensure a balanced commercial outcome is achieved 
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Lead and develop a team of P&C Advisors and Graduates
  • Develop team members to ensure effective succession planning across the broader P&C Central team
  • Support line managers on the implementation of cyclical activities, including performance and remuneration review, talent management, recruitment and offboarding.


Good things you'll need


  • Tertiary qualified or demonstrated strong performance in a generalist P&C role – e.g. Business Partnering, Advisory or P&C Advisor 
  • Sound knowledge, skill and experience of general P&C practices, particularly industrial/employee relations
  • Proven interpersonal and organisational skills, with an ability to get things done well in a timely manner
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and to work under pressure to deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems and negotiate outcomes
  • Working knowledge of the Australian human resources framework and best practice
