About the Role
Reporting to the Transport Delivery Manager, the Transport Operations Lead plays a critical role in the ongoing delivery, optimisation and support of Coles’ Manhattan Active platform across Transport and Warehouse operations.
This is a pivotal position embedded in the business, responsible for shaping and sustaining the performance of our end-to-end transport systems.
You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our transport network operates efficiently, safely and at scale, whilst handling significant volume and cost.
You will also:
· Lead the design, delivery and ongoing optimisation of transport and warehouse solutions across the Manhattan Active platform
· Deliver transport modelling and analytics tailored to specific project need
· Act as the subject matter expert across MATM, MAWM and supporting systems
· Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, carriers, vendors and key stakeholders
· Own transport network configuration including routing, rating, master data and system workflows
· Drive system enhancements including testing (UAT), deployment and issue resolution with vendors
· Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives across cost, service and operational efficiency
About You and Your Skills
You bring strong experience across transport and supply chain operations, ideally within FMCG or retail, and are passionate about driving operational excellence through systems and process improvement.
You will have:
- 5+ years’ experience in transport and/or supply chain, ideally within FMCG or retail environments
- Hands-on experience with Transport Management Systems (e.g. Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP, Oracle)
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain and transport network operations
- Proven ability to manage complex systems, data and workflows at scale
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels
