About the role


As part of our Store Customer platform division, we are looking for an enthusiastic Test Lead with end-to-end testing experience in managing multiple projects at a given time across all test types (both functional and non-functional). You will be delivering operational support to Projects and BAU testing activities.


This role will have you support various technology division, managing critical testing solutions within a large-scale enterprise setting. With 24/7 operational services, this role will see you become the catalyst for delivery and execution of Coles’ vital and system critical ecosystem.


What you’ll be doing


The Test Lead will ensure the smooth delivery of planning and execution phases of all assigned projects. This role will require you to lead multiple testing projects at various phases at a given time. You will have experience in delivering testing plans and support multiple projects across various store critical customer platforms.


The work will include manual and automation testing across both functional and non-functional testing types. Using your refined problem-solving capabilities, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of all our testing criteria’s and guarantee the correct translations of functional, technical, and data requirements into test specific cases.


You’ll also;

  • Work closely with assigned test resources on each project to ensure tracking to schedule
  • Identify early any potential risks and issues
  • Identify and support implementation of automation.
  • Communicate and drive improvement initiatives.


Good things you'll need


As a leading member of the Store Customers Platform Testing Team you are a highly experience Test professional. You excel in planning, organising and problem-solving, and have the ability to adjust and evolve within the changing business needs.


You also need:

  • Proven experience in a Test Lead position.
  • Experience working with external vendors.
  • A history in implementing test automation within a managed project.
  • The ability to manage risk-based testing in a critical and highly available environment.
  • Proven experience managing multiple large projects concurrently.
  • Proven experience in testing critical systems.
  • Proven experience in using HP QC.
  • Retail background would be an advantage (but not necessary).


NB: This position is on-site at our Head Office with flexibility to WFH 1-day per week depending on project delivery.
