About the role


We have an exciting opportunity for a Technology Strategy Analyst to join our Technology Strategy team in a full-time and permanent capacity and reporting into our Senior Strategy Manager.


As the Technology Strategy Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the formulation and iteration of Coles’ digital strategy and planning process. From the development of accurate and comprehensive reports for our executive leadership team to analysing the implications of strategies, this position plays a key role in ensuring Coles remains innovative and up-to-date with the latest trends in the market.


Your key duties will include: 

  • Support the development of cascading and critical domain strategies and business cases (Cloud, Data, Analytics, Innovation, etc.) alongside technology architects, experts, partners, leaders.
  • Adjust and iterate strategies as conditions and premises change, for optimal outcomes.
  • Ensure strategies align with the Technology Strategy and approaches.
  • Estimate benefits and their strategic alignment.
  • Help prioritise, challenge, and align Digital decisions and activity with the Technology and Corporate Strategy and best practices.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and continually improve transformation management and strategy execution to ensure strategic alignment and effective delivery.


About you


You are analytical by nature and enjoy working with data, and so articulating ideas and information to a leadership audience is a key strength of yours. Meanwhile, you are passionate about keeping abreast of the latest trends across the Technology landscape.


In your toolkit you will have:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in a highly analytical role.
  • Relevant Tertiary Education.
  • Strong written communication skills. 
  • Understanding of Technology in large organisations and in the context of digital transformation.
  • Understanding of the forging, value, and management of strategic partnerships (especially in the context of technology).
  • Understanding of the Retail industry, challenges, commerciality, operations, and organisation.
