Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Technology Service Continuity Manager to join the IT Service Management function in Coles Technology.
This important role has ownership for our IT Disaster Recovery & Service Continuity framework and associated assurance activities including management of testing schedules and providing guidance and support to technology teams in integrating service continuity principles into operations and project lifecycles.
Additionally, a core component of the role will be assessing the current state of our recovery capabilities, testing model and assurance processes, to collaboratively develop a strategy and roadmap for the continual uplift of these capabilities, particularly in testing maturity.

Key responsibilities include:
Day to Day- Framework Management & Governance:
- Manage adherence to the Coles IT Disaster Recovery Framework, policies, testing schedules across all applicable technology domains, in alignment with organisational BIA’s
- Provide guidance and support to technology teams in integrating service continuity principles and maturity into their daily operations and project lifecycles
- Work closely with Technology Stakeholders and Group Response teams
- Support where required in a Disaster Recovery event
Current State Assessment & Gap Analysis
o Lead assessments of current state of Technology service continuity capabilities across applicable Technology platforms and Services, provide uplift recommendations based on assessments
o Collaboratively define and develop a strategic roadmap for enhancing technology service continuity, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
o Prioritise and present initiatives for uplift, considering criticality, cost, and feasibility.
About you and your skills:
- You enjoy working in a fun, fast paced environment and engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders and cross functional teams
- Experience in operational IT Disaster Recovery governance and framework management, as well as recovery processes and methodologies
- Experience assessing service impacts to an organisation, and supporting the translation of these into actionable DR plans with Technology Teams
- Experience participating in or leading gap analysis and maturity uplift recommendations within an organisation as they relate to IT Disaster Recovery/Service Continuity
- Experience working in a Technology context within a dynamic environment such as retail is desirable but not essential
- Experience in ITIL and Service management functions desirable
- Experience achieving outcomes through others (internal, managed services etc)
