The Group Strategy team plays a central role in setting the Coles Group strategy to remain a world class retailer. The team is responsible for working with senior stakeholders to develop, articulate and deliver on the strategic priorities of the business. 

 

  

About the role 

 

A permanent opportunity is now available for a dynamic Strategy Business Partner (SBP) to join the Group Strategy function. This role will see you support our Strategy Managers and Head of Group Strategy to design and deliver Coles’ strategy and support decision-making, as well as support the development and execution of project plans to deliver against the strategic priorities of the business.

 

You will also;

  • Provide fact-based insight to assist the development and delivery of key business strategies and corporate plan
  • Conduct analysis and structured problem solving to develop and articulate initiatives and key success metrics on key strategic issues
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders in the business as a strategic thought partner and driver of execution against strategic initiatives
  • Make a positive contribution to the development of the culture and capability of the Group Strategy team

 

 
About you and your skills 

 
Our successful candidate will have proven experience working with complex analytical problem solving, experience writing or contributing to board level presentations and reports, as well as presenting those findings to senior business stakeholders.

 

You’ll also have: 

  • Proven experience in management consulting, investment banking, product strategy or retail strategy 
  • Proven experience in complex analytical problem solving (e.g., hypothesis-based problem solving) 
  • A high level of proficiency using relevant tools & techniques (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Previous experience in managing work-streams within projects
  • Experience in writing or contributing to board-level presentations and reports
  • Experience in presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Previous experience in working with cross-functional business units
  • Ability to work in a high-performance team environment
