Group Strategy plays a pivotal role in driving our business forward at Coles Group to deliver our purpose of “helping Australians eat and live better every day” in our changing environment. Our team works closely with senior leadership and teams across the business to answer the big questions we face, provide analysis to inform decision making and drive the development, prioritisation and execution of key business strategies.

As the Strategy Business Partner, you'll focus on; 

 

  • Providing fact-based insight to assist in the development and delivery of business strategies 
  • Conducting analytical problem solving on strategic issues 
  • Working collaboratively with senior stakeholders in the business as thought partners and drivers of execution on strategic initiatives    
  • Support the development and execution of our strategy, ensuring alignment across teams and communicating strategic direction to stakeholders

 
 
About you and your skills  

 

We have a busy schedule, so you’ll need to be a self-motivated professional, capable of strategic thought leadership and initiative delivery. Ideally, you will be from a top-tier firm in strategy consulting, private equity/ investment banking or from an in-house strategy function of a large consumer products or retail organisation.  
 
In addition, you'll need; 

  • MBA, Bachelor of Commerce, Finance, or equivalent / higher qualification 
  • Previous experience within a management consulting firm highly regarded 
  • Proven experience in complex analytical problem solving 
  • A high level of proficiency using appropriate analytical tools especially excel 
  • Previous experience in managing work-streams within projects 
  • Experience in writing or contributing to board-level presentations and reports 
  • Experience in presenting to senior stakeholders 
  • Previous experience in working with cross-functional business units 
  • The ability to work in a high-performance team environment
