The eCommerce New Ventures crew is seeking a Strategy & Discovery Manager to join the team.  This crew plays the critical role of maximising the commercial value of the eCommerce function to Coles Group and this role will work closely with the Head of eCommerce, New Ventures to design and deliver the overall crew level strategy and support the cascade of the strategy to the component squads to deliver. What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Head of eCommerce, New Ventures you will conduct analytical problem solving on key strategic issues and provide fact-based insight to assist the development and delivery of key business strategies.


You’ll also:

  • Provide thought leadership across the crew in support of addressing delivery challenges, building business cases, and communicating the strategy to a wider audience
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders in eCommerce and the wider business as a strategic thought partners and drive the delivery & execution of initiatives
  • Contribute to embedding of Agile ways of working across the team
  • Conduct high quality quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve complex, strategic problems across the business
  • Synthesise analysis to draw conclusions and provide recommendations to the business to enable execution against strategic initiatives
  • Support the development and execution of project plans to deliver against the strategic priorities of the business



Good things you’ll need

We’re after a highly skilled strategic and analytical professional with proven experience in complex analytical problem solving, ideally within a consulting environment.


You’ll also need:

  • High level of proficiency using appropriate analytical tools & techniques
  • Previous experience in managing projects or managing work-streams within projects
  • Experience writing or contributing to executive level presentations and reports
  • Experience presenting to senior business stakeholders
  • Previous experiences working with cross-functional stakeholder groups
  • Previous experiences of working in a high-performance team environment
