Store Development is redefining retail design. Our team is constantly challenging possibilities. We work with innovative formats and concepts to connect with customers and enhance their in-store experiences, no matter the size or layout of our stores.
About the role
We’re looking for a Store Design & Development Specialist to play a key role in delivering innovative, cost-effective store projects across our portfolio. In this role, you’ll lead the design, scoping, and planning of accelerated and tactical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to operational and design standards.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse project pipeline, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners to bring high-quality retail environments to life.
You’ll also:
- Design, scope and cost store development projects across an accelerated pipeline
- Develop and gain approval for project plans through relevant governance channels
- Manage project design activities for programs up to $20M annually
- Coordinate site visits and due diligence to inform project strategy
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure seamless delivery
- Prepare briefs and design documentation to support commercial negotiations
- Manage project costs, budgets, CAPEX and OPEX in line with approved methodologies
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies across design and delivery
- Drive continuous improvement in design, cost efficiency and project outcomes
About you and your skills
You’re a commercially minded design professional who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. You combine strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills and a passion for delivering high-quality retail spaces.
You’re solutions-focused, detail-oriented, and confident navigating complex projects from concept through to delivery.
You’ll also ideally have:
- Proven experience in retail design, architecture or store development
- Revit experience or formal qualification (essential)
- Strong project management capability across design and construction phases
- Demonstrated experience in cost planning, budgeting and commercial decision-making
- Solid understanding of construction methods and development processes
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence outcomes effectively
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Experience identifying and mitigating project risks
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and value creation
