Property looks after one of Australia’s most dynamic portfolios. With an extensive footprint of over 1,800 retail outlets nationally, we’re growing every day. Our team manages every one of these locations, and we work together with our business units on all thing’s property, from site acquisition through to asset management.

As our new Spatial Data Analyst you’ll be empowered to ensure the Location Planning team and wider business have the data and insight to make well informed commercial decisions about new space growth and renewals across all our brands.

You'll also

 

 

 

•    Support a wide range of stakeholders including Group Strategy, Customer Insights, Coles e-Commerce and Sustainability with data and insights to support their decision making.
•    Present data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the organisation.
•    Drive best practice & innovation in forecasting tools and methodologies.

 

 

 

About you and your skills

 

 

 

You have a relevant degree across one of the following areas: GIS / Analytics/ Statistics / Data Science / Spatial Information / Economics / Computer Science / Geography / Commerce.

 

Ideally coming a retail background or other related industries, you have 2-6 years’ experience in a data analytics related role.

 

With strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you have a passion for data and excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

 

You’re able to create and understand complex forecasting models and have an interest in AI, with a curiosity for challenging assumptions and exploring innovative solutions.  

 


 
You’ll also have: 

 


•    Advanced skills in Excel and MS SQL
•    Additional skills with coding languages (R, Python) and Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI) desirable
•    Experience with desktop (MapInfo) or web GIS (ArcGIS Online) desirable
•    Statistical methodology for Correlation, Regression modelling, spatial analysis, and data visualisation
•    Analysis of various data such as demographics, customer segmentation, sales, census etc.
