About the team

 

Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.

About the role

 

As a Solution Architect, embedded in our Corporate Systems team, you will report directly into our Enterprise Architect and will see you strategize, design and lead all programs beginning with Coles 360’s ad service management program.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Actively identify and plan the remediation of technical debt across the organisation in Observability, IT Service Management, and Automation.
  • Support the onboarding of applications and infrastructure onto the strategic AIOps platform.
  • Ensure that all design patterns and architecture decisions are effectively communicated through architecture governance forums.
  • Develop and maintain architecture solutions that align with Coles’ strategic and operational needs.
  • Initiate and communicate innovative solutions that aim to reduce operations costs in the long term.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems functionality.
  • Develop, communicate, and maintain application, technical, and integration architecture design.
  • Ability to deliver fit for purpose solutions.  

 

 

About you and your skills

 

As a skilled Solution Architect with demonstrated experience in architecting and designing large-scale solutions.

 

You will have in your tool kit:

 

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Solution Architect role.
  • Demonstrated experience with ad service management (mandatory). 
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies with experience in supporting platform strategies and roadmaps.
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills, with experience in resolving complex technical issues and leading prioritisation activities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder
