Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. About the role: 


As part of the IAM team you work closely with many areas of the wider Tech team.  We have a strong focus on providing enterprise level identity solutions in a complex environment spanning across our on-premise assets and cloud environments.  We work providing solutions that fit all aspects of identity management, including governance, authentication/authorisation controls, security and automation.  


Our primary focus is enabling the business to succeed by providing modern systems that connects Identity management across all of our platforms and providers.  We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Active Directory Engineer to concentrate on our Active Directory systems while also supporting our broader identity platforms.  


This role presents an opportunity to significantly impact how Coles operates as we develop our identity strategy in a rapidly evolving industry. 


In this role you can also expect to: 

 

  • Provide technology services to support, develop and maintain the Identity and Access Management components of the IT infrastructure in accordance with agreed service levels 
  • Enhance our identity management platforms and identify opportunities for improvement and/or automation 
  • Contribute towards the IAM team strategy and solutions, aligned to Coles' overarching IT Strategy 
  • Contribute toward the development of the Identity and Access Management strategy and architecture 
  • Support, develop and maintain the portfolio in accordance with agreed service levels 
  • Maintain strategic partner relationships with key vendors and customer stakeholders 

  

About you 


You are a highly skilled Senior Active Directory Engineer looking to join a fast-paced environment.  


You will have in your tool kit: 

 

  • Extensive experience in managing, configuring, and supporting Active Directory and Other Identity Functions 
  • Active Directory Management: Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Active Directory infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security 
  • User Account Management: Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in accordance with organisational policies to safeguard sensitive information while providing appropriate access 
  • Group Policy Management: Develop and implement Group Policies to enforce security settings and configurations throughout the organisation, thereby minimizing vulnerabilities 
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting support for Active Directory issues, assisting IT teams and end-users in resolving problems efficiently 
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor the health and performance of Active Directory, generating reports on user activity and security incidents to maintain operational integrity 
  • Security Management: Implement robust security measures, conduct audits, establish access controls, and develop incident response protocols to address security threats effectively 
  • Vulnerability Management: Collaborate with auditors to identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities within the Active Directory environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies 
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of Active Directory configurations and processes to ensure compliance and operational clarity 
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Active Directory with various systems and applications, ensuring seamless operation and high security 
  • Training and Mentorship: Train and mentor junior administrators and IT staff, sharing best practices and troubleshooting techniques to cultivate a skilled team 
  • Project Participation: Engage in IT projects involving Active Directory, contributing expertise in planning, execution, and post-implementation reviews to achieve objectives and document lessons learned 
  • Knowledge of CyberArk PAM Processes: Manage and oversee CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM) processes to secure, monitor, and control access to sensitive systems and data, ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices 
  • Knowledge of Entra (Azure) AAD: Understand and implement Microsoft Entra Azure Active Directory (AAD) for managing identities and access. This includes managing user identities, overseeing application access, and ensuring secure authentication processes 
  • Comprehensive understanding of the broader ITIL operation process 
  • Experience in engineering practices 
  • Proven experience in a medium-large scale organisation within an IAM or Infrastructure engineer
