About the role
At Coles, we're recognised as a market leader in Range & Space optimisation, leveraging industry-leading technology and data-driven insights to create better outcomes for our customers, stores and teams.
As our Senior Range & Space Systems & Capabilities Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the strategy, development and continuous improvement of the systems and tools that underpin our Range & Space capabilities.
This is a highly influential role where you'll own the roadmap for key Range & Space solutions, partnering across Commercial, Digital, Technology and Business Unit teams to deliver innovative capabilities, improve processes and maximise business value.
You’ll also:
- Own and drive the strategy, development and optimisation of Range & Space tools and systems.
- Act as the key product owner and subject matter expert for Range & Space platforms.
- Manage and enhance Blue Yonder and associated Range & Space technologies to support business outcomes.
- Translate user feedback and business needs into product requirements, user stories and feature roadmaps.
- Lead end-to-end product initiatives from discovery through to delivery.
- Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure successful deployment and adoption of new functionality.
- Partner with Commercial, Technology, Data & Analytics and Digital teams to deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive system performance, governance and optimisation opportunities across the Range & Space function.
- Support stakeholders through change management, capability uplift and training activities.
About you and your skills
You're a seasoned Range & Space professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong product management capability. You understand the complexities of retail merchandising, space planning and range optimisation, and have hands-on experience working with enterprise systems that support these functions.
You thrive at the intersection of business and technology, translating operational challenges into system solutions that deliver measurable results. Your stakeholder management skills are second to none, and you're comfortable influencing senior leaders while partnering closely with users to improve processes and outcomes.
You’ll also bring:
- Extensive Range & Space experience within a large retail environment.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Blue Yonder (essential).
- Experience using and managing Category Knowledge Base (CKB) and related system environments.
- Strong product management or systems management experience.
- Proven experience translating user feedback into product requirements and enhancements.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing UAT processes and feature releases.
- Experience working with agile delivery methodologies and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A track record of driving business change, process improvement and system adoption.
