About the team

 

Our Coles Liquor team work across three leading brands (Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars), each with their own unique offering and customer base. With a network of more than 930 stores and ultra-convenient online sites, delivering on our commitment to provide accessible drink solutions for every occasion.

 

About the role

 

We’re looking for a strategic leader to head up our Range & Space team in Coles Liquor. In this role, you’ll design, execute, and review range and space plans that optimise store formats, layouts, and product ranging. You’ll leverage data-driven insights to deliver commercially beneficial outcomes and contribute to our broader strategic objectives.

 

You will also:

  • Develop and implement range and space strategies aligned with corporate goals
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes and systems
  • Drive macro space allocation and floor planning frameworks
  • Oversee range reviews and analytics to maximise sales and profitability
  • Lead and develop a team of professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners

 

 

About you and your skills

 

You’re a passionate retail professional with a proven track record in range and space planning. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership and thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. You’re collaborative, influential, and committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

 

You will also ideally have:

  • Extensive experience in range and space planning within retail or related operational roles
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to interpret customer and market data
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
  • Leadership experience with a focus on team development and performance
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Formal qualifications such as Blue Yonder Cert 1 and 2 (preferred)
