About the role

The engine room of our business, our Central Operations team keeps us moving and delivering our services to all Australians. We empower and support our retail teams across the country, helping them deliver great experiences for our customers every single day.


Play an integral part of the program team, identifying and prioritising opportunities to improve and transform processes, methods and metrics.


No two days are the same. If you like variety, this 12-month assignment is for you.


What you’ll be doing
You’ll advise our program leadership team on quality and risk, while collaborating with other workstream members to improve the delivery processes. 


By helping people deliver efficiencies, you’ll have a direct contribution to the quality of the outcomes for the program.


Other ways you can make an impact include:


  • documenting quality initiatives and managing a quality delivery toolbox for the project and organisation
  • developing and enabling Quality Management Tools
  • run sessions, generating and maintaining regular reports / metrics and facilitating decision making
  • building and sustaining ongoing Coles Intellectual Property in the end to end Automated DC capability
  • working across delivery lifecycle from design through to deployment


Good things you’ll need

  • a level of experience consulting for a top tier organisation 
  • significant hands on experience in large scale project delivery and transformation programs (working in both Business and IT functions)
  • comfort navigating through the detail and understanding core issues to offer and implement appropriate solutions
  • a background in Solution Architecture or Process improvement applied to project delivery is preferred
  • experience using and developing frameworks and structured approaches to problem solving
  • delivery of complex solutions with impacts to people, process and technology
  • the ability to analyse and model data to captivate audience and drive results
  • sound organisational skills with proven ability to manage and prioritise conflicting demands
  • a track record developing and implementing continuous improvement of methodologies and tools
