Are you passionate about product safety, quality, and innovation? Coles is seeking a dynamic Senior Product Technologist to join our Health & Home Business Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, legality, compliance, responsible sourcing, ethical sourcing, and repeatable quality of our Own Brand products.

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Oversee a subset of categories within the Health & Home Business Unit, including Homecare, Pet, Health Beauty Baby, General Needs, Events, and Best Buys.
  • Ensure all Own Brand products meet technical KPIs, competitive claims, brand guidelines, and activity plans.
  • Maintain product quality equal to or better than competitor benchmarks.
  • Execute brand strategy, product maintenance, quality enhancements, and launch new products.
  • Lead and develop a team of approximately three Product Technologists, including occasional graduates, to ensure competence in product safety, quality, compliance, and responsible sourcing.

 

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Extensive experience in Non-Food categories and the retail sector.
  • Strong knowledge of product development and technical expertise.
  • Excellent planning, time management, and supplier management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Experience with legislation, internal policies, and guidelines.
  • Leadership skills with a focus on team development and talent growth.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Curiosity for commercial acumen and strategic problem-solving.
