About the team

Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Analyst, you will provide advanced analytical and strategic insights to shape engagement, experience design, and product decision-making across our retail businesses — including supermarkets, liquor, and group platforms. You’ll lead the discovery and analysis of customer behaviour, product performance, and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Working closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and business stakeholders, you’ll ensure product strategies and design decisions are data-driven, evidence-based, and aligned with enterprise goals. You’ll also help build analytical capability within the product organisation by developing frameworks, tools, and best practices for measuring engagement, usability, and value delivery.

Through thought leadership, mentoring, and collaboration, you’ll foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement — ensuring every product initiative delivers measurable impact and enhances the retail experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write user stories for Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Coordinate integration testing and validate system functionality.
  • Log, prioritise, and track resolution of defects in collaboration with development teams.
  • Ensure quality activities align with project delivery schedules.

About you and your skills:

  • Strong ability to elicit requirements and understand business problems.
  • Expertise in business process re-engineering and solution validation.
  • High data literacy with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and technical writing.
  • Familiarity with enterprise environments and systems domain knowledge.
