About the team

Our Commercial team is a large, but a close-knit group of trading experts, who are ready to shape the future of Coles. We pride ourselves on the long-lasting supplier relationships we build, the new ideas we develop and how passionately we work to help Australian eat and live better every day. And the best part? We’re all so different. We bring diversity of thought, backgrounds, and experience to every Business Unit across Coles Supermarkets and Liquor.

About the Role

We’re seeking a strategic leader to join our Own Brand team as Senior Performance & Delivery Manager. Reporting to the Head of Brand Performance & Innovation, you’ll lead a team of four (two Performance Managers and two Delivery Managers) to drive insights, strategy, and transformation across one of the most critical parts of our business, Own Brand.

This role is all about turning data into meaningful outputs that inform decisions at the highest level. You’ll prepare executive packs, steerco materials, and board papers, ensuring our leadership team has the insights they need to identify growth opportunities, mitigate risks, and understand why certain lines do or do not succeed.

You’ll also:

  • Lead group-level Own Brand performance reporting and insights to support strategic decisions
  • Manage board-level reporting, scorecards, and dashboards linking brand, product, financial, and customer outcomes
  • Oversee business case development and strategy papers for portfolio growth and innovation prioritisation
  • Design and deliver transformative change programs across Own Brand, ensuring alignment with strategic direction
  • Act as a key partner to senior leaders, influencing strategy through robust evidence and recommendations
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts and delivery managers, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making

About you and your skills

Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a consultancy mindset, who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments. You’re comfortable presenting to GMs and senior leaders, and you know how to craft compelling narratives from data. With strong project management skills and experience in strategy and transformation, you can identify trends, risks, and opportunities that drive growth. You’re confident preparing executive packs and board papers, and you bring a commercial lens to everything you do.

You’ll also ideally have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Economics, Finance, or related discipline
  • Consultancy background highly regarded
  • Extensive experience in business performance, strategy, or transformation roles (FMCG/retail preferred)
  • Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills
  • Strong program management and change delivery experience
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior levels
