We’re looking for a strategic, data‑driven Senior Marketing Manager to lead the next wave of digital customer growth. If you’re passionate about driving high‑quality traffic, shaping digital strategy, and converting intent into action, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact at one of Australia’s most trusted brands.

As the Senior Marketing Manager – Traffic & Campaigns, you’ll own the strategy and execution that brings qualified customers to Coles Online across web and the Coles app. You’ll lead initiatives that attract first‑time shoppers, re-engage returning customers, and grow adoption across all digital propositions. This is a high‑visibility role that blends performance marketing, customer insight, funnel optimisation, and omni‑channel thinking. You’ll partner closely with Digital, Trade, Marketing, and Analytics teams to deliver meaningful commercial outcomes.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

Set traffic and digital marketing strategy: create and drive targets to hit qualified traffic through .com and app to match order and sales goals.

Drive high quality customers: Understand who our customers are for each proposition and target these customers off platform.

Funnel Ownership: convert high-intent visitors by optimising key landing pages and reduce bounce rates.

Acquisition performance: deliver demand-generation strategies informed by analytics and insights to meet registration, login and acquisition targets

Omni-channel Growth: encourage in-store shoppers to try all online propositions by highlighting their respective USPs and benefits

Digital marketing strategy: Own the digital channel plan. Work in with Marketing and Trade planning forums so that events are optimised to drive eComm outcomes. Communicate clear and meaningful value propositions to motivate first-time shoppers and improve conversion efficiency.

 

 

 

Key Experience Required

 

  • 6+ years working across digital marketing and developing digital channel strategies
  • 6+ years of product marketing experience (e.g. launching products, driving user growth, enabling sales, marketing & support teams, conducting competitor analysis and market research)
  • 3+ years operating within an retail/eCommerce environment (desirable)
  • Experience operating within a complex environment
  • The ability to identify and forecast potential business problems/opportunities and identify appropriate ways to rectify/seize the opportunities and prioritize resources.
  • Extensive experience running complex cross-functional GTM launches and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong experience crafting compelling positioning & messaging that drives product awareness, adoption and growth
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to deliver through others, collaboratively

  • Tertiary qualification in Advertising, Marketing or Business
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Exceptional communication skills, which empower all stakeholders to support your product marketing strategies
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders from product, marketing, CX and research
  • Ability to understand the market, competitors and core customer audience. Identifying essential trends and rectifying problems as they arise. You share these insights broadly with all key stakeholders and use these insights to mould the product, messaging, and GTM strategy.
  • Someone who can juggle multiple projects at once and have strong prioritisation skills
  • You’re someone with a growth mindset, and you're eager to learn and grow every day.
  • You’re someone who loves solving customer problems or needs with products, and you enjoy working closely with product teams to build world-class products
