About the role

 

Our Finance team partner with every area of our business and ensure commercial thinking feeds into everything we do. By working across every team, we look at how we’re performing and provide useable insights to support strategic business decisions. With Australian ‘CFO of The Year’ Leah Weckert steering our team, we set up our customers and people for success through good commercial sense.

 

As the Senior Manager - eCommerce Business Development & Partnerships, you'll assist with the development of new business opportunities as part of the group’s digital ecosystem and assist with developing and delivering the digital business’s development plan.

 

 

What you'll be doing

 

  • Prepare financial models for new business opportunities
  • Prepare presentations to communicate potential opportunities including M&A, joint ventures and strategic partnerships
  • Develop and negotiate commercial terms for new business opportunities
  • Help to establish and grow the innovation capability within Coles

 

 

Good things you'll need

 

  • 5+ years’ experience post degree
  • Experience in developing, presenting, and negotiating commercial opportunities
  • Experience in top tier strategy consultancy, investment banking, private equity, venture capital or corporate development
  • Experience in developing financial models
  • Strategy development and project management experience
  • Ideally Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent qualification
  • Accounting, legal or Finance qualification, preferably CA or CPA
  • In-depth financial modelling experience
  • Interpretation of legal agreements and commercial terms
  • Excellent communication skills: the ability to convey complex analysis results clearly and with conviction to all levels of stakeholders #LI-FIN
