About the role

As our new Senior Category Manager for Coles Local you will work closely with and report into the Business Category Manager for Coles Local.  You will bring together varied stakeholders across the business such as operations, supply chain and marketing to deliver the customer plan.
You’ll be responsible for managing a broad array of categories in this fast-paced role.  You will be accountable for growing profitable category sales by satisfying our customer’s needs, growing market share in-line with strategic goals.


You'll also:
•    Lead and develop a small team of direct reports
•    Manage varied senior stakeholders across different departments
•    Be accountable for the execution of the category's pricing, promotion, range selection, layout development and product development

 

 

About you and your skills

This senior role will enable you to be super creative and bring your proven entrepreneurial acumen to the forefront in this exciting position.  Leading a small team in a varied, diverse  categories will certainly provide great exposure and the ability to partner across the Coles business.


You'll also need:
•    A thorough understanding of managing small to large categories and deliver a clear customer focused plan
•    Proven category management experience in a fast-paced business
•    Experience managing complex supplier relationships
•    Leadership experience to effectively manage a team and champion team objectives 
•    Outstanding influencing, negotiation, and developed stakeholder management skills 
•    A dynamic style, to operate in a fast paced, customer-driven retail environment
•    Strong financial acumen within a highly commercial environment
