Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.

As part of the broader Technology team, Finance & Corporate Technology are responsible for the development and support of applications across multiple enterprise platforms including Finance, Procurement, Property, Risk, Safety and Legal.  
 
Finance & Corporate Technology is an integral part of some key initiatives including SAP implementations, increasing cloud capability and digitising multiple manually intensive processes. 

 

 

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for the SAP Business Analyst components of some exciting projects within the Finance & Procurement team. You will be required analyse, review and propose opportunities to deliver change into the environment, driving efficiencies within the platforms and across the enterprise.

You will be become the product expert, ensuring users and other analysts have a knowledgeable and dependable resource who can guide them through the purpose, use and enhancement of the tools and systems.  


You will Identifying areas where processes can be enhanced and/or shared across other areas of business use.


Your stakeholder management skills are exceptional, and you build strong trusted relationships with key stakeholders across Technology to drive the execution of global best practice in the consistency, simplicity and quality of common practices and Ways of Working.  

You have extensive previous experience as an SAP Business Analyst, and have advanced knowledge of SAP in Finance & Procurement.  


SAP Skills are a must have for this position and the ability to conduct SAP training and workshops.
 

 

About you and your skills

•    5+ years’ experience supporting digital channels in large, complex organisations requiring stakeholder management.
•    Significant experience in a SAP Business Analyst role
•    Experience working in a project environment
•    Waterfall and Agile methods and concepts
•    A logical approach to problem solving and the ability to constructively propose and review solutions 
•    Proven experience gathering, eliciting, and documenting functional and non-functional requirements in a way that is complete, clear, correct, and consistent.
•    Proven ability to manage relationships within and outside the business, including suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
•    Ability to analyse and explain complex digital systems and concepts in accessible language, such as translating the technical capability of a solution into the real world application and results of that solution.  Communicate these concepts to a range of stakeholders at the appropriate level of detail.
•    Development of Business Cases, including financial case, for technical solutions to business problems.  Includes financial acumen such as understanding capital vs operational spend, and making strategic trade-offs between competing solutions.
•    A passion for new technology
•    Tertiary degree relating to IT or related field preferred.
•    Experience working in a digital-first organisation with a strong customer-centric focus.
•    3+ years demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst working in complex environments and projects.
•    Experience using SAP Product Suite – ie. SAP Finance, SAP Procurement
•    Understanding of: digital ecosystem, software development lifecycle, development methodologies (including Agile), enterprise architecture principles, web usability and accessibility, online content, and user experience (UX) design.
•    Highly collaborative style, able to engage with a diverse range of stakeholder to meet targets.
•    Effectively balances commercial and customer needs
