About the role


We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior (Web) Business Analyst to join Coles’ Digital team in a 12-Month Fixed Term capacity. Reporting into our Delivery Manager, the primary focus of this role will be to support Coles Liquor as it goes through a brand consolidation and ongoing website improvements. 


As a Senior Business Analyst, you will work closely with our software development squad to gather business requirements and translate this into technical user stories as we embark on a large-scale project to consolidate our Coles Liquor brand. 

 
In this role, you can expect to:

 

  • Translate business requirements into technical user stories following the INVEST framework with clear acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate workshops with business and technology stakeholders to elicit requirements
  • Lead discussions with effective communication 
  • Document business and technology requirements 
  • Document use cases and customer journey flows
  • Responsible for technical analysis to understand the problem and define the solution
  • Investigate problems and analyse options for new and existing features, providing recommendations to solutions 
  • Support and in some instances lead scrum ceremonies
  • Work closely with the Delivery Lead and Product Manager
     

About you and your skills:


In addition to having demonstrated experience as a Senior Business Analyst in an eCommerce or retail environment, you will also have in your tool kit:

 

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role 
  • Experience working in Digital or Web front-end squads
  • Experience working in large companies with complex technology environments 
  • Experience working in Agile teams, and using key tools such as Jira, Confluence, Swagger, Postman, etc
  • Ideally, experience working in Retail eCommerce systems
  • Relevant Tertiary Degree in field of IT
