Our Finance team are a vital partner in every aspect of our business, providing commercial insights to drive our success and influence everything we do. With presence in every department, we analyse performance, and deliver actionable insights that shape our strategic decisions.

 

About the Role 

 

The Supers Planning & Performance team is a newly created team within Coles which brings together the Commercial, Ops, Digital and Property, Financial Planning & Performance teams from across the business. Our goal is to be catalysts for change within Coles. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end planning cycles for Digital, in addition to owning and understanding Digital Sales performance. 

 

You will also be responsible for;  

  • Lead planning and forecasting cycles across Digital, including strategic plan, and budget, focusing on continuous improvement and ensuring alignment across stakeholders
  • Own and deliver the end-to-end Digital P&L in the planning process, including the incorporation of Customer Fulfilment Centres
  • Own R&Os for the Digital business and ensure any significant risks/opportunities are appropriately communicated with all relevant parties
  • Provide insight into Digital Sales performance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis and understand any key trends at play, both on a historic and forward-looking view
  • Manage relationships with wider Supers Planning & Performance team, Group Planning & Reporting, Strategy, Investor Relations and other finance teams within the supermarkets business 
  • Create insightful and concise written presentations for Digital and Executive Leadership Teams to communicate business performance and drive action

 
 
About you and your skills 

 

We are looking for a naturally curious Senior Business Analyst/Finance Business Partner with strong commercial acumen, a structured approach to planning and reporting, confidence in influencing stakeholders through data-driven storytelling and capable of navigating complex problems and ambiguity. 

 

You will also ideally have;

  • CA/CPA or similar qualification preferable but not essential
  • Relevant finance experience in the Retail/FMCG sectors preferable
  • Ability to link strategy and financial performance to provide a clear and compelling narrative
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; an ability to make the complex simple
  • Proven Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
