Our Coles Liquor team work across three leading brands (Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars), each with their own unique offering and customer base. With a network of more than 930 stores and ultra-convenient online sites, delivering on our commitment to provide accessible drink solutions for every occasion.
About the Role
Are you a strategic SEO leader ready to shape the future of organic search in a rapidly evolving digital landscape? Coles Liquor is seeking a dynamic SEO Manager to lead our search strategy and drive performance across Liquorland’s digital ecosystem.
As our SEO Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing a cutting-edge SEO strategy that responds to the evolving impact of AI on organic search. You’ll lead technical SEO initiatives, identify content and link-building opportunities, and manage longtail SEO tactics to grow traffic and sales.
You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external agencies, influence technology roadmaps, and ensure our SEO efforts are aligned with broader business goals.
You will also;
- Develop and execute the SEO strategy for Liquorland, with a focus on AI-driven search changes
- Conduct regular SEO audits and implement best-practice recommendations
- Manage technical SEO, content optimisation, and link-building initiatives
- Lead longtail SEO tactics including page creation and optimisation
- Report on SEO performance across weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycles
- Influence internal stakeholders and technology teams to deliver SEO initiatives
- Manage SEO agencies and oversee the SEO budget
About you and your skills
Our ideal candidate is a strategic and self-driven SEO expert with strong stakeholder management skills to keep SEO front-of-mind across senior stakeholders. With AI reshaping customer behaviour, you'll lead efforts to adapt and innovate, creating and executing impactful strategies. You are comfortable managing external agencies and collaborating cross-functionally across product, supermarkets, and digital teams, independently driving performance and implementing the SEO roadmap.
You will also ideally have;
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing or a related field
- Extensive experience in digital marketing, SEO, and e-commerce, ideally within FMCG or retail
- Strong commercial acumen and data-driven decision-making skills
- Proven experience managing SEO campaigns end-to-end
- Familiarity with SEO tools, CMS platforms, CSS/HTML, and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience with analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
