About the role
An opportunity is now available for an SAP FICO Consultant who will primarily be responsible to provide expert functional support across the SAP Finance solution, ensuring best practice and processes are adopted. You will be the conduit between the business and technology by understanding business issues, new requirements and emerging SAP functionality and providing detailed designs and solutions. You will also be responsible to coach and mentor others to ensure standards, capability and non-functional requirements are met.
Leadership
- Undertake a leadership role in mentoring less experienced team members, promoting and supporting IT tools and methodologies.
- Undertake Operations and Support management.
Support/Customer Focus
- Maintain and support good working relationships with broad internal customer base.
- Maintain and support systems as per agreed SLAs.
- Maintain and enhance solution stability.
- Input and feedback to delivery teams.
- Able to resolve complex issues
- Understand business needs
Testing
- Provide input to the testing strategy and plans that support the business process
- Assist in the conduct of systems, user acceptance testing and systems implementation
Incident Management
- Maintains incident repository and manages key information such as Incident & problem fixes procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
- Resolve incidents raised on applications.
Problem Management
- Manage risks and resolves issues that affect production systems
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure application fixes are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
- Weekly Incident Reporting
Collaborate effectively
- Partner closely with other departments to achieve results, especially the business unit and Digital
- Navigate the organisation to identify and achieve solutions to business and customer problems
Meet our Obligations
- Ensure our digital channels are fully accessible to customers and team members with disabilities
- Protect and enhance Coles’ reputation with customers, stakeholders, regulators and media
- Accountable for personal compliance with internal company policies, procedures and codes, e.g. Code of Conduct, and all applicable external laws, regulations, standards and industry codes e.g. Fair-trading Laws
- Commitment to the corporate and or relevant Brand/ Retail Support Compliance Program
- Integration of compliance requirements into team performance reviews
About you & your skills
- 7+ years of experience as an SAP FICO consultant
- Successful implementation of SAP, including providing functional expertise, guidance, presentation, and instruction on SAP products
- SAP FICO experience in a S4HANA environment
- Experience working across large, scale complex implementations
- Strong Finance systems knowledge.
- Exposure to Treasury systems preferable
- Experience as SAP support consultant
- Experience working with 3rd party support vendors both on and offshore
Commercial Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong Finance knowledge.
- Very high attention to detail is mandatory.
- Ability to engage with Business and IT Teams.
- Strong consulting skills, including analytical thinking, problem solving, and superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in coaching and influencing others
- Experience implementing technology strategic roadmaps for systems/applications
- Strong verbal and written communication
