The Merchandise team at Coles plays a critical role and pride themselves on building sustainable long term supplier relationships, developing new range offers and ideas, and working on convenient, healthy solutions.

About the role

Partnering with the Merchandise teams you will support Category Managers to execute and develop the range strategy, engaging multiple cross-functional teams to ensure Range Reviews are delivered on time and that benefits are realised. You will project manage several range review’s with a focus on Range and analytics.

 

What you’ll be doing

Reviewing and analysing range performance, you will recommend actions to the Business Unit teams to effectively land range changes within our stores.

 

You’ll also:

  • Lead multiple range reviews comprising Business as Usual (BAU) resources to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, and, that business benefits are realised.
  • Analyse key Customer insights, develop creative, pragmatic solutions, and support the implementation.
  • Contribute to a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for category management and category planning.
  • Coach and mentor cross-functional business partners.
  • Support stakeholder identification and assessment.

 

Good things you’ll need

  • Proven experience within the FMCG/Retail environment.
  • A high level of proficiency using appropriate analytical tools and techniques.
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience managing projects, or, work-streams within projects.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present to senior business stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and develop new skills.
