About the role

 

We’re looking for a Range & Space Systems Development Analyst to join our Commercial team. This role sits at the intersection of technology, analytics, and merchandising, supporting our Range & Space (R&S) teams through system optimisation, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

You’ll be responsible for supporting specialist Blue Yonder R&S software, delivering insights, triaging technical issues, and helping uplift capability across teams, ensuring our systems and processes drive optimal in-store outcomes.

 

Please note; this opportunity is a 9-month fixed term contract.

 

You’ll also:

  • Support R&S systems by triaging and resolving system and process related queries
  • Partner with IT and development teams to manage issues, enhancements, and prioritisation
  • Support the delivery of ad hoc reporting to enable informed business decision-making.
  • Enhance and maintain specialist R&S software to drive continuous improvement
  • Coach and support planners on system use and best practice
  • Engage with cross-functional teams on internal and external initiatives
  • Contribute to process governance and ensure alignment with business strategy

 

 

About you and your skills

 

You’re a technically savvy and commercially minded analyst who thrives in a collaborative environment. You enjoy solving complex problems, working with data, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes. With a strong foundation in systems and analytics, you’re equally comfortable troubleshooting issues, building reports, and coaching others to build capability.

 

You bring a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to translate technical insights into clear, actionable recommendations that support business performance.

 

You’ll also ideally have:

  • Technical experience working with retail optimisation software, specifically shelf/space planning, assortment planning and macro/store planning eg. Blue Yonder, RELEX, Apollo or similar)
  • Intermediate SQL skills
  • Preferrable experience with reporting tools (e.g. Snowflake, BI Publisher, BIW, IBM Congos)
  • Experience within a similar retail/FMCG environment
  • Tertiary qualification in Technology, Business, Commerce or related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Solid stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively while managing competing priorities
  • High level of initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail
