Store Development is redefining retail design. Our team is constantly challenging possibilities. We work with innovative formats and concepts to connect with customers and enhance their in-store experiences, no matter the size or layout of our stores.
About the role
We’re looking for a talented Range & Space Planner to join our team to help shape how our customers experience our stores. In this role, you’ll design and maintain floor plans and layouts that optimise store efficiency, product visibility, and commercial performance. You’ll play a crucial part in transforming strategy into practical, data‑driven solutions that elevate the shopping experience and support business growth.
You will also:
- Translate corporate, commercial and store strategies into actionable plans and recommendations
- Identify opportunities to improve range and space activities using multiple data sources
- Design, document and maintain floor plans and blueprints that balance consistency, brand identity and local needs
- Lead or contribute to key range and space planning projects, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery
- Monitor return on space using a variety of data sources to support informed decision-making
- Proactively identify opportunities for improved ranging and space utilisation and recommend continuous improvement initiatives
- Influence and collaborate effectively to ensure alignment, understanding and successful project outcomes
About you and your skills
You are a commercially minded problem-solver who combines design thinking with analytical rigour. You enjoy working with data, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are energised by the challenge of balancing customer needs, business priorities, and operational realities. Your strong stakeholder engagement skills allow you to consult, negotiate and influence effectively across teams.
You’ll also ideally have:
- Experience in FMCG, large retail or similarly fast-paced, customer-led environments
- Strong understanding of range reviews, space planning, floor planning or capital planning
- Proficiency with relevant planning, analysis or design software
- High attention to detail with demonstrated data and digital literacy
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Experience managing multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment
- Excellent collaboration, communication and influencing skills
