About the role


As a Quality Engineering Manager, you will work to support the adoption, evolution, and maintenance of the Quality Engineering capability within a group of Coles business units, to maximise agility, accelerate test automation adoption, and unlock efficiencies.  


Some of your key accountabilities will be:

 

 

  • Accountable to support the quality engineering outcomes of all ongoing projects within a group of business units/platforms with a common test process approach, optimised capability usage, common metrics in place and improved speed to value.  
  • Accountable to build, enhance and maintain the quality engineering capability, frameworks, and patterns as a foundation for supporting business applications. Scope includes Test Automation, Continuous Testing, Test Data Fabrication/Creation, and Early Security Testing. 
  • You will support and enable as necessary the design, planning, implementation, and release of relevant quality engineering enablement capabilities across the projects, programs, and agile squads. 
  • You will be accountable for the Quality Engineering and Testing aspects of the project initiative approved funding 
  • You will be accountable for multiple squads of technologists that will collaborate to deliver projects/products that are aligned with Coles business objectives.  

 

About you and your skills


Some of the things we are looking for:

 

 

  • At least 15 years’ experience in the automation, development and testing fields. 
  • Extensive experience with native iOS and Android mobile app development and testing in an agile environment. 
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing technical solutions in large scale, complex and distributed environments. 
  • Strong Manual and Automated testing experience, including demonstrated success with implementing Automated Testing solutions, using frameworks such as Appium as well as native iOS & Android test automation 
  • Highly experienced in enterprise Agile Scrum product development 
  • Experience working in large scale projects and heavy-traffic platforms 
  • A proven track record in people management and experience in building and leading teams  
  • Proven capabilities in vendor, partner and stakeholder relationship management. 
  • Demonstrated success in enabling the launch of high quality and business critical products, in a complex enterprise production environment 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence and persuade outcomes / direction 
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority 
  • Experience managing relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders 
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
