About the role

To understand our merchandise business, we need to understand our customers. That’s why you’ll find us working across all business units at Coles Supermarkets, Liquor and Express. Supermarkets is one of the largest teams at Coles, but we’re a close-knit group that come from all over the world. We’re passionate about working at the forefront of merchandising and making sure our customers have quality products at the right price.

 

We’re looking for an exceptional Project Manager to join our team for a 12 Month Fixed Term opportunity.

 

What you’ll be doing
As part of Coles ‘winning in our second century’ strategy, the Customer and Business Unit teams have a number of exciting projects which they are accountable to deliver. The project manager will be responsible for the successful execution of a selection of these projects, working closely with the business project sponsors to do so.

 

You’ll take ownership of large, complex high-profile projects; managing time, cost, quality, risk, governance and communications to achieve the successful delivery of project objectives for the Bakery, Deli & Seafood team.

 

Good things you will need

  • Preferred experience in Retail or FMCG.
  • Several years’ demonstrated project management experience; managing successful projects and large scale business initiatives.
  • A proven track record of leading, coaching and motivating project teams.
  • Demonstrated experience working successfully with management to deploy initiatives aligned to business objectives.
  • Experience leading, influencing and setting strategic direction for cross-functional teams.
  • An ability to think strategically and consider broader implications.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and engender confidence and support at all levels of the business.
