About the team
Our Coles Liquor team working on Liquorland with a network of more than 990 stores and ultra-convenient online sites, delivering on our commitment to provide accessible drink solutions for every occasion.
About the role
The Coles Liquor business is currently undergoing a large and exciting transformation, underpinned by a range of projects of varying scale. Within the Transformation and Strategy team, these projects typically involve a combination of system and process change and will impact all areas of the business. As Project manager, you will be responsible for managing the planning and execution of these projects and ensuring successful implementation against the Liquor strategy.
You’ll also:
- Work with stakeholders to define requirements and scope, then manage scope and expectations
- Develop comprehensive project management plans to deliver project according to performance measures and to achieve targeted business outcomes
- Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget and timing for new initiatives
- Identify and manage all risks and issues across the project, escalating appropriately
- Establish and implement strong project governance that ensures regular reporting for Steering committee, Senior leadership teams and project stakeholders
- Support the development of brand strategy with the senior leadership team
About you and your skills
We are seeking an experience and knowledgeable Project Manager with a proven track record of leading mid to large-scale business initiatives, including prior involvement in supply chain transformation programs.
You’ll also need:
- Experience with automated ordering and replenishment processes will be highly advantageous or experience within a retail/FMCG environment
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and gain buy-in with senior leaders across various levels
- Proven ability to manage project governance, scheduling, financial and resource management, change control, risks, issues, and assumptions
- Strong understanding of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
- Ability to relate to and understand business requirements in all retail streams (operations, merchandise, supply chain, marketing etc)
- Strong communication, organisational, coaching, planning & negotiation skills
- Business case development and proposal writing experience
