About the team

 

Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.

About the role

 

As a Project Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the effective delivery of technology initiatives across supermarkets, liquor, and shared group platforms. You will provide analytical, coordination, and governance support across the project lifecycle, working closely with Project and Program Managers to strengthen planning, monitoring, and execution disciplines.
You will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of project data, preparing insights and reporting, and ensuring alignment to governance frameworks. With a focus on driving consistency and continuous improvement, you will help uplift delivery practices, manage risks and dependencies, and improve overall delivery confidence.

 

Key responsibilities include

 

  • Supporting portfolio and program planning activities, ensuring alignment between strategic priorities and delivery capacity
  • Maintaining integrated schedules, milestones and dependencies to support cohesive execution
  • Leading governance reporting and preparing accurate, insights‑driven materials for executive forums and steering committees
  • Consolidating and validating program data to support transparent and consistent decision‑making
  • Providing forward‑looking performance analysis to identify trends, risks and delivery impacts
  • Coordinating structured risk, issue and dependency management to support delivery confidence
  • Driving continuous improvement in delivery practices, frameworks, and reporting standards


About you and your skills


You will bring strong analytical capability, delivery discipline, and stakeholder engagement skills, including:

  • Experience working in IT, retail technology, supply chain, warehouse management or related operational environments
  • Strong understanding of technology operating models, processes, tooling and enterprise delivery environments
  • Experience supporting planning, governance, risk management and performance reporting across complex programs
  • Ability to interpret and translate delivery data into actionable insights for leaders and stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams without formal authority
  • Experience working with SAP, inventory/invoice management, or demand planning is highly regarded
  • Excellent analytical problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders
