About the role


As a Production Manager in the Meat Production team, you will partner with our third-party meat processing facilities to effectively monitor and manage production processes and activities through planning, resourcing, scheduling and optimising. 

This role is based in a combination of work from home, Coles Support centre in Hawthorn East with weekly travel to Altona and occasional travel to NSW 
 
You’ll also:

  • Support the delivery of production plans, customer feedback reports and waste trends
  • Manage site stock reports, ordering and outbound capacity to ensure optimal levels of stock and materials are maintained
  • Ensure all products meet Coles quality standards, food safety requirements and labelling and packaging regulations; monitor customer feedback to identify potential quality issues;
  • Ensure Coles quality standards, food safety requirements and packaging regulations are met with a key focus on customer feedback reports
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes with a focus on creating efficiencies and optimising productivity
  • Use dashboards, data and reports to monitor and improve defined performance metrics
     

About you and your skills

You will have: 

  • Experience in the beef industry managing a high-volume food production or factory operation facility is essential
  • Experience in Meat boning and slicing is essential
  • Experience delivering on financial and service targets
  • Experience managing quality control and production schedules
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders across all levels
  • Experience in scheduling, production planning and load planning
