About the role

In this newly created position within our Merchandise Strategy & Transformation team, you will interact and partner with a variety of cross-functional teams as we transform the way we plan our promotional program at Coles.


Please note, this is a 24 Month Fixed Term opportunity.


What you’ll be doing

As a Subject Matter Expert, you will provide your knowledge and expertise to support the Business through process improvements and changes to the way we plan our promotions and interact with new tools to do so.


You’ll also:

  • Understand the ins-and-outs of the existing and evolving promotional planning process and toolset.
  • Work closely with the Business Analyst to map out business processes.
  • Partner with Coles team members to understand user experience.
  • Lead training and user guidance sessions for the new promotional planning toolset and process.


Good things you’ll need

  • Experience working with and navigating cross-functional teams within retail and FMCG industries.
  • Project management experience, an understanding or experience in agile delivery beneficial
  • Experience on process improvement or change management
  • Experience in implementing new tools and capabilities to improve Business process
  • Experience developing and implementing training plans, with the ability to deliver to a variety of team members.
  • Technical aptitude, with the ability to liaise with technology teams.
  • Strong drive, initiative, and engagement capability to work self-directed and in an organised manner within a fast paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
