About the team
Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.
About the role
This role will operate within a squad primarily focused on delivering Loss Prevention enhancements to the point-of-sale system, which may also extend to other functional areas.
You will be responsible for creating a roadmap for the squad that delivers high quality business solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong business partnerships across the organisation, with a particular focus on Store Operations, Tech Innovation, and IT Vendor teams.
- Defines backlog with the squad and stakeholders to ensure the backlog aligns with the business and product strategies.
- Drive back log prioritisation based upon key objectives and business needs and where necessary, bringing stakeholders together to agree priorities.
- Has a view of constant service improvement by reviewing existing environment and identifying opportunities for enhancements.
- Analyses the previously deployed enhancements to identify levels of success and responds accordingly.
- Looks to understand industry trends.
- Assist in Project Management and Governance
- Accountable for the results (customer/business outcome) of their squad.
- Works closely with stakeholders across the organisation to manage dependencies and risk
About you and your skills
- Experience as a Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst or similar
- A consistent history of delivering enhancements to business systems for internal or external users
- Experience supporting complex organisations; experience working in a retail organisation with a strong customer-centric focus
- Experienced in communicating and rationalising decisions
- Experience working in fast paced environments and comfortable with change
- Skilled in working collaboratively with Engineering, Operational teams, and IT Vendors
