About the role

As a Product Manager - Payments, you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless, secure, and efficient payment experience for our customers while optimizing payment processes to improve profitability. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to define the payments growth strategy, prioritize features, and drive key initiatives from discovery to delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize the digital payment experience: Drive continuous improvement in the customer payment journey, focusing on seamlessness, ease of use, and availability of preferred payment options. This includes minimizing friction points in the checkout process and ensuring a smooth user experience across all digital platforms.
  • Maximize payment conversion rates: Increase the percentage of successful transactions by identifying and addressing barriers in the payment flow, optimizing payment gateway performance, and expanding available payment methods.
  • Minimize payment-related losses: Reduce fraud, chargebacks, and other financial losses associated with payments by implementing robust fraud prevention strategies, optimizing authorization processes, and collaborating with the financial services team on risk management.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer for payments: Champion the customer perspective in all payment-related discussions and decisions, ensuring that customer needs and preferences are prioritized. This includes gathering customer feedback, conducting user research, and staying informed about industry best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with financial services: Partner with the financial services team to align digital payment strategy with overall business objectives. This includes working closely with them on vendor management, payment processing, and reconciliation.
  • Drive innovation in payments: Explore and evaluate new payment technologies and trends to ensure the company remains at the forefront of the industry, offering customers the most convenient and secure payment options.

 

About You

You are a customer-focused and data-driven Product Manager with experience in digital payments and e-commerce. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You have a passion for driving innovation in payments and delivering frictionless customer experiences.

 

About you and your skills

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on payments or e-commerce.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing digital payment products or features.
  • Deep understanding of payment processing, including payment gateways, merchant acquiring, and payment security.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and finance.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to identify opportunities and measure success.
  • Experience with A/B testing and other optimization techniques.

 

You'll also have

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly Analytical and can clearly translate insight into story to drive change
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering).
