About the role
We’re looking for a passionate Product Manager with expertise in composable customer Martech and/or headless loyalty technology—someone who lives and breathes next-gen platforms, API-first architecture/event-driven systems. You’ll be focused on enabling the (current and new) loyalty capabilities across in-store and digital channels.
You’re commercially minded, customer-obsessed, and have a deep understanding of loyalty programs and the technology that powers modern loyalty capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the end-to-end vision and product lifecycle for our loyalty ecosystem across the Coles Group, including promotional, offer management, membership hierarchy, earn & burn mechanics, technical product enhancement and continually improving the member experience alongside the Omni-Experience team.
• Partner with CX, engineering, legal, support teams, compliance, operations, digital and tech product teams, marketing, architects, finance, customer service, data, engineering, trade, and commercial trade teams to define and deliver loyalty use cases at pace, balancing MVP delivery with long-term scalability.
• Lead the loyalty product squad - backlog, roadmap, and delivery priorities, ensuring alignment with strategic outcomes across the enterprise.
• Lead the conception, discovery and support the end-to-end delivery of loyalty technology initiatives, from discovery through to deployment.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, data, and business teams to ensure successful execution and ongoing capability enhancements to the loyalty stack.
• Manage risks, mitigation strategies, scope changes, and blockers proactively to keep initiatives on track.
• Ensure all project or product initiative milestones are met and business outcomes are delivered on time and within budget.
• Translate customer, business, and partner needs into functional requirements, new features and capabilities.
• Support operational readiness, go-to-market coordination, and internal stakeholder alignment.
• Proven ability to manage and influence external stakeholders, including vendors, consultants, and system integrators, to ensure aligned delivery and strategic outcomes.
About You
• 5+ years’ experience as a product manager or product owner.
• Certified product manager desirable and a track record in a similar sized company to Coles.
• Demonstrates a technically, customer-led product mindset with a track record of innovative, out-of-the-box thinking to solve complex problems.
• Skilled in developing and leading product roadmaps and strategies in the product lifecycle from - conception, discovery, definition, implementation and deployment along with ongoing iterative enhancements
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a high tolerance for change.
• Proficiency in tools like Confluence and JIRA is preferred.
• A tertiary degree is highly desirable.
• Proven experience managing complex initiatives, stakeholders and coordinating cross-functional dependencies across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Hands-on experience working with composable, API customer MarTech products, Loyalty Management Systems, CDP data, and or customer engagement platforms.
• Deep understanding of loyalty constructs (e.g. deferred rewards, tiers, points, cashbacks, gamification, membership types and program models and loyalty program metrics).
• Customer-first mindset and strong understanding of digital user journeys across app, online, and in-store.
• Experience working with internal deliver teams, system integrators, vendors and agile and waterfall delivery models.
