About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager – Network Strategy to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our eCommerce network. This role will deliver end-to-end online network design and investment prioritisation, driving improved capacity utilisation and optimising cost-to-serve through robust IBP and S&OP processes.
You will lead the development and ongoing evolution of the Coles Digital network strategy, supporting a large-scale eCommerce network transformation. This is a high-impact role that blends strategic design with tactical execution, influencing executive decision-making and capital allocation.
Key Responsibilities
Network Strategy & Design
- Lead the development and continuous evolution of the Coles Digital network strategy across:
- In-store fulfilment and automated fulfilment nodes
- Courier and own-fleet transport lanes
- Click & Collect operations
- Translate enterprise strategy into executable network design changes and a clear delivery roadmap.
- Ensure recommendations align to service, cost, resilience, and capacity objectives.
- Develop an integrated, end-to-end network view spanning fulfilment, linehaul, cross-docking, and last-mile delivery across all customer propositions at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Enable network optimisation by balancing capacity, service levels, cost-to-serve, and resilience considerations.
Planning & Optimisation
- Support the implementation and execution of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
- Prepare materials and insights to support senior stakeholder engagement and planning forums.
- Support near-term supply planning and network optimisation initiatives.
- Provide strategic network insights to inform executive decision-making and capital prioritisation.
- Deliver tactical network recommendations to inform regular catchment and capacity adjustments.
About You
We are looking for a commercially minded and analytically strong professional who can operate across both strategy and operations.
Experience & Background
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Network Strategy and/or Supply Planning roles, ideally within eCommerce at a large retailer.
- Experience in roles such as Supply Planner, Demand Planner, Network Development, or Network Strategy.
- Demonstrated experience working within S&OP and IBP frameworks.
- Strategy and/or consultancy experience in Supply Chain and Network Design preferred.
- Operational experience within grocery eCommerce last mile and fulfilment highly regarded.
Capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and contributing to executive-level decision-making.
- Commercial acumen with a strong understanding of cost-to-serve drivers.
