About the team
Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.
The Corporate Technology domain supports core retail platforms across supermarkets group services.

About the role
In this role you will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of products and solutions within their assigned retail domain — delivering technology and customer experiences that drive business outcomes across a broad range of products to support Procurement, Legal, Safety, Insurance, Risk and Compliance.
Reporting to a Group Product Manager, this role defines product requirements, prioritises initiatives and features, and works closely with design, engineering, and operations teams to ensure successful delivery and adoption.
The Product Manager balances customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility to deliver products that are reliable, user-friendly, and aligned with enterprise direction.
The role actively engages with stakeholders to understand pain points and opportunities, using data and customer insights to inform decisions. Through effective collaboration and a focus on continuous improvement, the Product Manager helps ensure that product initiatives deliver measurable value, enhance customer experience, and contribute to the Group’s overall retail strategy.
You will maintain strong visibility of product performance, service metrics, risks, and delivery progress — communicating clearly and proactively with stakeholders to ensure alignment. As a trusted partner, you’ll build effective relationships across technology, operations, vendors, and senior business leaders, acting as the primary point of contact for product related priorities, issues, and insights.related priorities, issues, and insights.

About you and your skills
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Product Manager or similar
- A consistent history of delivering measurable results for both users and the business
- Experience developing & mentoring Assoc. Product Managers and contributing to the Product Chapter
- Experience supporting digital channels in large, complex organisations; experience working in a digital-first organisation with a strong customer-centric focus
- Experienced in communicating and rationalising product design decisions
- Experience working in fast paced environments and comfortable with change
- Skilled in working collaboratively with engineering, design and marketing
- Demonstrated knowledge of the product lifecycle, experience building and shipping consumer product experiences.
- Understanding of the broader digital ecosystem including software development lifecycle, development methodologies (including agile), user experience design, usability and accessibility, online content strategy, etc
- Highly collaborative, able to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Listen well. You build consensus by default, but can drive hard decisions when needed. You push the pace.
- Skilled in translating business process and customer insights into product concepts and solutions.
- Exceptional people management, collaboration and communication skills.
