About the role
We’re seeking a dynamic Product Manager with a proven track record in credit cards and consumer lending to join our Digital team, specifically Coles Financial Services (CFS).
Reporting into the Group Product Manager, Cards & Lending, this role will be tasked with managing key internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic objectives for the Cards & Lending portfolios, as well as developing and delivering strategic product plans to drive customer/account growth.
You will also be responsible for;
- Design and development of new or enhanced customer value propositions
- Identifying and evaluating new strategic product or service opportunities (products, segments, customers, channels or technologies) to support achievement of agreed commercial and customer outcomes
- Preparing Distribution Plans to define new account growth, product mix, and collaborate with the Customer team to build out marketing plans to support the targets agreed in the Distribution Plan
- Preparing strategic business cases, encompassing all relevant dimensions (e.g. opportunity sizing; customer segmentation; revenue and profit drivers; risk and compliance, etc.)
- Management of the product lifecycle, planning, budgeting and forecasting of sales
- Manage key relationships with peers at NAB, issuer of our white-label lending products, as well as key partnership forums (including Operations forums; Product WIPs) and other ceremonies as required
- Influencing commercial and customer outcomes across internal and external stakeholders, through well-structured and evidence supported communications
About you and your skills
Our ideal candidate will have well developed quantitative analytical and forecasting skills, comfortable working with a range of data sources and synthesising these into actionable insights. You will also be a financial services professional with a proven track record in credit cards and consumer lending, with experience across the end-to-end product development and management lifecycle.
You will also ideally have;
- Related tertiary qualification, in a Business discipline (Finance, Digital, Analytics, Marketing) or relevant fields
- Proven experience in a product management role, ideally in credit cards or consumer finance
- Experience in Agile ways of working and comfortable with relevant tools to plan, manage knowledge and execute work (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
- Demonstrated P&L management and ability to drive strong commercial outcomes through strategic and tactical actions
- Skilled communicator – structures arguments that are clear, compelling and supported by relevant evidence; explains complex matters with ease and projects confidence to key stakeholders
