About the role


Our Digital Experience (DDX) team within our Digital function is significantly growing as we continue to invest in delivering the best digital shopping experience for our customers. Our Digital Experience team is now seeking a Product Designer to join their growing team.


As a Product Designer in the Growth & Personalisation team, you’re an active part of your design team and squad participating in planning, research, ideation, design and execution. You will be required to create experiences across high-quality digital, compelling and accessible experiences for native Apps and responsive web for Coles Supermarkets.


You will work alongside Product Managers and Optimisation Specialists to achieve our objectives and key results. You have experience working with a broad set of metric driven design methodologies including Click Through Rate, Conversation Rate Optimisation, A/B and/or multi-variant testing. Knowing when to use and apply qualitative and quantitative data and insights to create hypothesis for different user cases.


You have extensive experience designing for websites, apps and other touchpoints, with a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design and the ability to create rapid, low-fi through to high-fi prototypes and iterate.
Strong working knowledge of digital ecosystem, software development lifecycle, development methodologies (including Agile), A/B testing & optimisation techniques, enterprise architecture principles, web usability and accessibility, online content strategy, and user experience (UX) design.

 

A key requirement and must have for this role is previous experience with conversion rate optimisation and multi-variant testing for large, complex organisations requiring stakeholder management. We require a designer with digital analytics experience, using digital analytics tools to measure activity and a solid understanding of A/B testing and other digital optimisation techniques.

 

 

You will 


•    Develop and align design deliverables to the Coles Digital Strategy.
•    Work with other designers responsible for core parts of the shopping experience by taking in inputs and sharing insights.
•    Collaborate with product and technology delivery to ensure experiences are desirable, feasible and viable.
•    Experience in experimentation and showcasing recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative insights.
•    Translate business process and customer behaviours/insights into design concepts.
•    Understand digital accessibility (WCAG 2.0/2.1) and the implications for design and are able to include high level accessibility requirements in final designs.

 

 

You have


•    A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a UX/Product Designer or similar, with extensive skills in wireframe design, UI creation, prototype development and user testing.
•    2+ years’ experience focusing on Conversion Rate Optimisation and Multi-Variant Testing for large, complex organisations requiring stakeholder management.
•    2+ years of digital analytics experience, using digital analytics tools to measure activity 
•    Solid understanding of A/B testing and other digital optimisation techniques 
•    Experience with Adobe Marketing Cloud tools - Analytics, Workspace, Target
•    Experience with screen recording and heatmapping tools
•    Strong working knowledge of the tools of the trade. Such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, InVision, user testing tools and rapid prototyping tools.
•    Previous experience in a Retail, E-commerce and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment considered favorable.
•    A portfolio demonstrating a range of artefacts developed in the process of creating compelling services.
•    Bonus points if you have payments or fintech experience.
